VidiControl Configuration
VidiControl brings it’s own Configuration Tool. This is caused by limitations of the ConfigPortal regarding real-time device configuration.

Two of Vidicontrol's core features are that it is independent of third party system accessibility and that it can be configured at runtime. This means that a recording must not fail if a configuration is not available at the time and that recorders and routers can configure themselves. Neither of these can be mapped with the ConfigPortal, which is why VidiControl provides its own configuration interface.
This section of the Operations Guide is dedicated to describing configuration topics not particular to ConfigPortal.
