The following items on the list encompass breaking changes, features, and fixes that are relevant for the major release.

Features
Beta Version: Web Render Engine Timeline Preview
It is now possible to generate the timeline preview on the client computer instead of generating it from the server side using VidiStream. This allows for lower latencies and better system scalability. The feature is not ready for production yet, but it can be used for testing while turning it on in ConfigPortal or on a dedicated client computer. See Web Render Engine Beta .
Configurable String Metadata for Segment
A metadata field of type string can now be configured to be displayed on video and image segments which are placed on a VidiEditor timeline. See Timeline Configuration Parameters [VE OG] .
OpenTelemetry Support
VidiEditor now supports the usage of OpenTelemetry that can be used for system monitoring. See OpenTelemetry.
Multiselect in Bin and Search
It is now possible to multiselect elements in a bin and search to perform more batch functionalities such as add to or delete from bin. See Media Interactions in the Project Bin and Browse Content (Search)
High Contrast Mode
VidiEditor now comes with a high contrast mode that can be used based on user selection. See VidiEditor Layout.
Dark Mode
VidiEditor now comes with a dark mode that can be used based on user selection. See VidiEditor Layout .
Reload Event List on Growing Media
Users can now reload event lists using a refresh button. This is particularly advantageous when working on growing media where event lists are generated by growing. See Event List View .
Event List User Preference for In / Out
Users can now decide if in / out points are set when navigating the source player via event lists. See Event List View.
Size Thumbnails in Thumbnail Event List
It is possible now to size the thumbnail size of the thumbnail event list to more easily and quickly find the right content. See Event List View .
Keyboard Shortcut to Create a Span Marker
A new keyboard shortcut interaction allows one to transform a position marker to a span marker. See Timeline Shortcuts .
Snap on Marker
Users can now drag a marker close to the timeline playhead to auto snap to the playhead's timecode position. See Snap .
