Deprecation
Server Side Timeline Preview
Please note that the server side timeline preview is deprecated from version 23.3 on. It can be used until 24.1 with the feature set of 23.2. The server side timeline preview rendering will be removed in 24.2. New features related to the timeline preview will require usage of the web render engine.
Features
VidiNet Dashboard
VidiEditor supports the VidiNet Dashboard, which enables the user to quickly jump between VidiNet apps. For more information, Dashboard [VE UG] and General Configurations.
Stretch and Squeeze via video scale effect
Horizontal and vertical scaling can now be used independently to stretch or squeeze videos and still images. For more information, see Video Effects.
Metadata Container Assignment (Placeholder)
Based on configuration, an additional dialog can be added for publish and project creation. This dialog allows to search for metadata container and assign the project or the publish item to the metadata container to design use cases of metadata inheritance from metadata container to the publish item or to the editing project. For more information, see Placeholder Assignment [VE OG] and Placeholder Assignment [VE UG].
Offline Work Mode
It is now possible to switch VidiEditor into an offline mode where media downloaded from the system can be used for editing without any needed internet connection. For more information, see Offline Work Mode [VE UG].
Audio Sample Conversion (WRE)
The Web Render Engine is now able to do audio resampling to mix different audio sample rate in one timeline. For more information, see Supported Audio Format .
