VidiControl supports deep links in the URL of the web application. Those can be used for creating a recording based on a placeholder collection.
An example looks as follows:
http://server/vidicontrol/create-booking-definition?placeholderId=COLLECTION-VX-27071
This will create a new recording pre-filled with metadata inherited from the given collection object.
