Configuration

This section describes configuration possibilities of VidiEditor. Most configurations relevant for the behavior of the application can be modified in ConfigPortal - a user friendly configuration frontend allowing to configure various aspects of the VidiEditor. Those will be discussed in subsequent sections.

Most of the mentioned possibilities are valid independent from where VidiEditor runs (on-prem/hybrid/BYOC or Vidinet installation). Anyway some aspects are only possible in either an on-prem/hybrid/BYOC context or in a SaaS context operating VidiEditor on Vidinet. This is either due to the fact of different hardware or components available in those scenarios. The application itself is running in an identical code base. It will be mentioned in detail in subsequent sections if a configuration possibility is not offered in the one or other scenario.
