Server Side Render Engine Support
Please note that the Server Side Timeline Preview mode is not available anymore from 24.2 on and only the Web Render Engine Mode can be used.
Features
Trigger Analyze Job from Source Player
If no waveform exists on used source media, the source player is now able to trigger a VidiCore Analyze Job to create a waveform based on the analyzation result. For more information, please see Waveform View .
Timeline Validation Information in Publish Dialog
In some situations it makes sense to inform the user about a timeline situation which may be possibly unwanted. Therefore we implemented an information area inside the Publish dialog that lists information about the timeline that is detected as maybe unwanted or leading to problems in subsequent processes. For more information, please see Publishing a Timeline Sequence .
Razor Tool Option for Independent Audio and Video Cuts
While using a keyboard shortcut for the active razor tool, it is now possible to control if audio and video of a linked segment are cut together or if only the hovered element is cut. For more information, please see Cut Mode .
User Preference for Audio and Video Tracks on Project creation
It is now possible to remember the amount of audio and video tracks created on default when creating a new project. For more information, please see Toolbar Options.
Support of up to 10 Audio Tracks
We increased the amount of possible audio tracks from 5 to 10. For more information, please see Audio Channel Selection for Timeline and Toolbar Options .
Keyframe View Optimizations
We have done a bunch of smaller optimization for working with keyframes such as select/deselect all shown effect parameters, Reset all effects as a batch or improved user interaction when interacting with the keyframe line. For more information, please see Keyframe based Editing View [VE UG] .
Effect Changes in Timeline Player
It is now possible to change various effect parameters in the timeline player directly using mouse interaction. For more information, please see Video Effects .
Default Config for Project frame rate
Via configuration it can now be defined what frame rate will be used as default when creating new projects. For more information, please see, General Configuration [VE OG] .
60 fps Support
VidiEditor now supports timelines in 60 fps. For more information, please see Supported Proxy Video Format .
24 fps Support
VidiEditor now supports timelines in 24 fps. For more information, please see Supported Proxy Video Format .
