Timeline Shortcuts

The timeline player (see Timeline Preview Player) and the timeline (see Timeline Area) are strongly connected. As a consequence, many keyboard shortcuts work in both main focus areas. This section gives an overview for the shortcut key and interaction on the timeline.

Add video soft dissolve as cross fade transition with default length  if playhead is on cut position

Add video soft dissolve as fade out transition with default length if playhead is on cut position

Add video soft dissolve as fade in transition with default length if playhead is on cut position

Alt + A

Add audio cross fade as cross fade with default length  if playhead is on cut position

Alt + Z

Add audio cross dissolve as fade out transition with default length if playhead is on cut position

Alt + Q

Add audio cross dissolve as fade in transition with default length if playhead is on cut position

Ctrl + G

Group multi selected segments

Ctrl + Shift + G

Ungroup grouped segments

Trim Segment + Esc

Stop trim and snap back to original position

Shift + S

Toggle Audio Scrubbing / Trim

Ctrl + F

Match Frame

Toggle Cut Mode to be on / off
